The Fitness Tests

  • Midoriya channels One For All into a single fingertip for the ball throw, scores over 700 meters, and walks away with only a swollen finger instead of a shattered arm.
  • Final rankings drop: Yaoyorozu 1st, Todoroki 2nd, Bakugo 3rd, Iida 4th — Midoriya dead last at 20th.
  • Aizawa admits the expulsion threat was a lie to unlock the class’s full potential, noting only that Midoriya’s potential “was not zero.”
  • Recovery Girl heals Midoriya’s finger but warns him that repeated major injuries will drain his stamina to a lethal point.

Between School and the Station

  • Uraraka catches up to Midoriya and Iida, introduces herself, and reframes Bakugo’s insult “Deku” as the Japanese phrase for “You can do it” and Midoriya adopts it on the spot.
  • Morning classes run normally.

Hero Basic Training

  • All Might enters Class 1-A through the door like a normal person and distributes hero costumes built from each student’s pre-enrollment Quirk registration and requests.
  • In a flashback, Midoriya updates his Quirk registration at city hall, and his mother presents him a handmade jumpsuit costume with a tearful apology for her past discouragement.
  • All Might announces two-on-two indoor combat training: Team A (Midoriya and Uraraka) as heroes versus Team D (Bakugo and Iida) as villains guarding a nuclear weapon prop.
  • Midoriya tells Uraraka he can’t use One For All on a person without killing them, so they infiltrate the building carefully, only for Bakugo to launch an immediate ambush.
  • Midoriya dodges the attack by reciting Bakugo’s habitual right-swing opener from his notebooks, then declares his “Deku” is now the name of a hero.

Ending: Bakugo, shaking with rage, snarls that what he hates most about Midoriya is that he keeps moving forward even when he’s scared.
